About the ACEs Study
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) refer to traumatic events in childhood—such as abuse, neglect, and household challenges—that can have long-term effects on health, education, and overall well-being. Research shows that the more ACEs a person experiences, the greater the risk of chronic health conditions, substance abuse, and academic struggles.
But trauma does not define a person—with supportive relationships and strong life skills, we can counteract ACEs’ impact and build healthier futures.
Join us for this informative and actionable session to better understand ACEs, how they affect the body and brain, and what we can do to reduce toxic stress in our communities.
