About the Event
Program features:
During the 12-week Nurturing Parent Program caregivers of children will learn new strategies to discipline in a nurturing way, manage their stress and learn to help their children handle big emotions. This class fosters peer to peer relationships with caregivers in a non-judgmental environment where we can all learn and grow.
Topics Include:
- Appropriate expectations of children
- Building empathy
- Beliefs in corporal punishment and positive discipline techniques
- Appropriate parent-child family roles
- Encouraging power and independence in children
